After being given approval by the CAA and LAA on 30th March 2011, we began the test schedule for the SeaRey Prototype.

G-CREY will go through a series of tests before being evaluated by Paul Mulcahy, the CAA Test Pilot.

It will then be added to the approved LAA list of homebuilt aircraft.

This kit was delivered to owner John Brennan of Sligo Light Aviation Club in May 2005. By February 2006 EI-SEA was first flown by test pilot Patrick Gallagher. After 1,200 hours of construction and over 40 hours of land and sea trials, it claimed its place in the record books when it was granted it’s Permit to Fly in April 2006 – the first SeaRey amphibian to do so in the European Union.
